PersistExist2One of the things that boggles my mind is the level of persistence it takes for successful people to make it.

Did you know that Tyler Perry (Hollywood Producer, Writer, Actor, Screenwriter, Director, Etc.) and one of the highest paid men in Hollywood spent 6 years trying to make a play work, before he got a real audience?

Six years!

The musical got lackluster reviews, barely anyone came to see it and it was a financial failure.

Now think about that.

It doesn’t seem that long, when you think about how long you’ll live, but if I told you that dream or goal you want (the perfect body, the massive bank account, the raise, the baby, the match made in heaven, etc.) would take at least six years AND that it might NOT even happen, well that could make you feel completely discouraged.

Tyler Perry wasn’t guaranteed that after trying for 6 years that he would actually see success.

Because there are no guarantees.

Instead of a guarantee, he had other qualities that helped his dream take off.

He had focus.
He had passion.
He had belief.

But most of all, he had faith.

He believed in this vision so wholeheartedly that he refused to give up.

He did whatever it took to not only succeed, but to keep his mind aimed at his goal, even in the midst of struggle.

I’m sure he had many doubts over the years, but he never waivered on his dream.

If something is your purpose and passion, and you keep visualizing it and aiming for it, eventually time no longer matters.

Because it’s just a matter of time before that seed you planted takes root.

Lots of Love,
Meg
