I know you want it bad.
Whatever IT is.
There’s something missing in your life and you’ve got it on your RADAR, but you still don’t have it.
The body, the business, the bank account, the close friendships, the amazing relationship, the thing that’s so close you can touch it and feel it, but it’s STILL eluding you.
How BAD do you really want it though?
Are you FOCUSING on it daily?
Are you thinking about it HOURLY?
Are you taking the BABY STEPS consistenly to get there?
If you are, great! You’re on your way.
But if you’re not, here’s one thing you can do that will SPEED UP the process for you.
Get yourself into the HEADSPACE of someone who already has IT.
If you had what you wanted right now, how would you act?
For instance, right now my goal is to get a leaner body.
And I can tell you, I want it bad.
I think about it daily, and I know that it’s the next BIG GOAL for me.
But right now I’m living incongruently to my goal.
Because I can’t just THINK this better body into being.
Nope. I have to do the work. CONSISTENTLY.
And I could say to myself – well I don’t really know what work I have to do to get the body I want.
And I could get stuck there. And not do a thing.
Because I don’t have clarity on the next steps.
And this can happen to all of us.
You might not know how to start a business, or make money on the internet, or have better sex with your partner, or create a closer relationship with your siblings, parents, etc.
And in some instances, you need to get those first steps, so you can start taking action.
I needed to read the website If It Fits Your Macros to figure out realistically how many calories, proteins, fat, carbohydrates, fibre, vitamins, and minerals I need to eat, because otherwise I might not get the right amount of nutrients.
And now I have a plan.
But after you get the plan.
You need to follow through.
And that’s where most people get stuck.
In the ACTION TAKING part.
In my own life, when I sabotage (like I did this weekend where I basically ate a double sized bag of M&Ms and chips and cheese), I have to go back to the drawing board and ask myself why I’m sabotaging.
Do I really want this goal?
How BAD do I want it?
Am I just being lazy?
Do I really want this goal? – YES.
How bad do I want it? – If I’m being honest, I probably only want it 80%, because I don’t HATE my body, I eat relatively healthy, and the summer is still far away.
Am I just being lazy? When it comes to working out, I get lazy. I like my routine the way it is, so a part of me doesn’t want to change it.
But for me to ACHIEVE this goal, I have to CHANGE something.
And that change starts with my belief.
Moving my belief from 80% to waaaay past 100% of wanting it bad.
Wanting it so badly, that I will do ANYTHING to get it.
My belief has to convince me that it’s worth the PAIN, SACRIFICE and HARD WORK.
So the first thing I have to do, before I do ANYTHING, is change my belief level on how badly I want this, and how much I believe doing the steps will work.
And once I move that belief up to 100%, I need to BECOME the person who is already there.
Who already has the body I want.
WHO DO I HAVE TO BE, TO GET THIS ROCKING BODY RIGHT NOW?
I would have to be someone who makes a schedule and gets up early to work out.
I would have to be someone who organizes her meals in advance.
I would have to be someone who writes down what I eat.
I would have to be someone who drinks more water than I do.
I would have to be someone who does weight training.
I would have to be someone who breaks a sweat daily.
Ughhhhh that’s a lot of CHANGE don’t you think?
For someone who isn’t there yet.
So imagine all the things you want RIGHT NOW and how much change is involved in getting what you want.
It’s a TON!
And it’s the exact reason why most people DON’T GET WHAT THEY WANT.
Because it takes actual preparation, work and action.
For me, I can be an all or nothing person (go hard core working out and being healthy, and then BAM I’m off the wagon).
So this time, I’m SLOWLY bringing in change.
Today was the new thought pattern of WHO DO I HAVE TO BE.
And the next step to my better body: deciding which ONE thing I want to do, that will help me get there.
Baby steps. Baby steps.
